RAND RYAN is a long-time member of the Evidence Room company, providing lights for MESSALINA, MAYHEM, DOG MOUTH, DON CARLOS, SAVED, THE BERLIN CIRCLE, ONE FLEA SPARE, NO ORCHIDS FOR MISS BLANDISH and FLOW MY TEARS, THE POLICEMAN SAID. He also designed productions for the Taper Too, Next Wave and New Works Festivals, for the L.A. Philharmonic at Disney Hall and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, for the Pasadena Symphony at the Civic Auditorium, for East-West Players, Padua Playwrights, Court Theater, Matrix, The Actorâs Gang, Tiffany Theaters, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Odyssey, A Noise Within, Deaf West, ICT, and the Cabrillo Music Theater in Thousand Oaks, as well as many other theater, dance and opera productions in New York, San Jose, San Francisco, Seattle, Omaha, Pittsburgh, Madison, Montreal and throughout Europe. For the late director Reza Abdoh his work included THE HIP-HOP WALTZ OF EURYDICE, BOGEYMAN, THE LAW OF REMAINS and TIGHT RIGHT WHITE. Rand is the 2002 LA WEEKLY Award recipient for Outstanding Lighting Design and also a NEA/TCG Design Fellowship recipient.
